Tuesday Practice Notes

-Petteri Nokelainen (flu-like symptoms) is feeling better but will not play tonight. Neither will Peter Schaefer (shin), who stayed out on the ice after the morning skate with Alex Auld and Bobby Allen.

-Tim Thomas will start tonight.

-Glen Murray, Zdeno Chara, and Dennis Wideman didn't participate in the morning skate but will play tonight.

"One thing they do well is take away a lot of space in the neutral zone," said Claude Julien. "They're a very tight-checking team. Their D move up on the wingers. They play a 1-3-1 system where their wingers lock up on one side and their other D move up. There's not much you can do in the neutral zone. Somehow you've got to get pucks deep and work in their own end. We can't get cute. We've got to get pucks past them with good chips, get pucks deep, and get to work in the offensive zone."
