All Is Quiet...

There is nothing new or significant being reported on the Bruins trade front in regards to Hossa, Stoll, Suter, or anyone else for that matter. Is this a calm before the storm or is this just simply a sign that nothing really is going on? That's just something to ponder...Also, where is PJ Stock when you need him to create rumors? I think it is hilarious that he made up a rumor about Hossa to Boston just to exploit Eklund's credibility. However, it is Eklund's job to report rumors, not facts. I don't blame him at all for taking the bait. People need to remember that rumors are far from facts. It's all speculation. There's no need to put all your stock (no pun intended, I recognized this while proofing) in rumors because I am sure there are many "PJ Stocks" out there trying to get some recognition. Would the hockey world be talking about PJ Stock the past couple days if he didn't make up that rumor? No sir.

After last nights game I am beginning to reconsider letting go of Kessel. If at all possible, Kessel and Lucic are "must keeps" for this team to be successful (future) and realistically Chia should not (and I hope will not) make any stupid deals for rental players cuz this team is going no-where this year. Better than last? Yes. in another year or two (with the right moves) this team should be pretty hard to beat.

Here's the thing I keep considering if I am Chia. Let's assume the rumour holds any kind of merit - Kessel, Stuart and a #1 pick - dependant that Hossa signs a 5 year deal. Why wouldn't Chia then keep Kessel and Stuart and then sign him in July - and have Kessel and Hossa? So you figure that if Hossa were to go somewhere else, that team would ask that Hossa signs before being shipped - therefore no chance of getting him come July 1. It's not that easy being a GM. I'd like Stuart and a pick for Suter. ReSign Ward, Wideman and Metropolit. Add Hossa and showcase Fernandez and see if anyone will take him. Most people tell me no way - but then again, Boston picked him up after he was injured. Play a few games, win a few and someone might want to add him (TB for Prospal?). Not before the deadline, I mean in the O/S. Also, if (spelling?) Soderberg, Zjeridev and Marchand crack the big club, we'll have too many assets for the first time in a long time. And they keep winning! I want to see them finish 8th and play Montreal first round and bounce them out! That'd be too sweet! For now, GO BRUINS!
