Bruins Notes For Tonight

Chuck Kobasew, who missed the last two games with a groin injury, will return to the lineup tonight against Pittsburgh. Kobasew skated with David Krejci and Milan Lucic during the morning skate.

Claude Julien didn't tip his hand on who will not play tonight, but the guess is that Peter Schaefer and Petteri Nokelainen will be the healthy scratches.

Tim Thomas will start tonight.

Shane Hnidy was the only Bruin not to skate this morning. Julien said it was a minor issue and that Hnidy will be at TD Banknorth Garden tonight.

Tonight's expected lineup:

Axelsson-Savard-Murray
Sturm-Metropolit-Kessel
Lucic-Krejci-Kobasew
Reich-Sobotka-Thornton

Chara-Wideman
Ference-Ward
Stuart-Hnidy

Thomas

Awesome game tonight. It was kinda eerie watching all of the players patiently handle the puck in all sorts of situations, NOBODY panic passed, unlike earlier in the year. They looked like a playoff team tonight. There was a short chunk of time in the 3rd period that they got a little out of whack defensively, but it didn't last and wasn't as extreme as it has been in the past. Good fight by Lucic and nice message sent by Julien for the final power play, where if they wanted to rough it up go ahead, as our power play unit will be Thornton, Reich, Sobotka, Chara and Wideman. And now we are only 4 points out of first in the NE and we have 2 games in hand on the nosediving Sens. Absolutely wild.
