Leafs 4 - Bruins 3 OT

Unfortunately, the Bruins played another inconsistent game and lost to the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3 in overtime. I wish Andrew Ference picked up Darcy Tucker on the overtime goal instead of coasting but, you can't change what is already done. After watching a team struggle to put the puck in the net yet again, it makes me want Chiarelli to deal for Hossa more and more. I hope Julien and the coaching staff tear the defense a new one for not picking up guys down low on the third and fourth goals. Giving up a lead that quick through stupid penalties and a lack of concentration in a game that means so much is unacceptable. These were two very important points tonight and it is simply awful giving up points to division opponents, even if they are as bad as the Leafs. In fact, giving up points like the Bruins did tonight is similar to giving up points to teams ahead and behind the Bruins (see: Rangers, Sabres, etc).

The Bruins have a few days off before they head south to face-off with the Carolina Hurricanes again. I will be going out tonight to forget about this game. Have a good night all.

Ahhhhhhhh !!! Well at least we got a point...a huge point! What a boring game. Lots of people say the B's are boring and for the most part I don't think so. But tonight...that was boring. However, in 8th and games in hand on everyone around us. I wonder if the game would have been different if Kessel would have buried one of his 3 great chances....this is becoming a theme with him !?!?!?
I said earlier that this 5 gm. road trip would be the tell tale....1-0-1 so far !

I really hope ,something comes out of the GM meetings in the way of a trade for the B's !! Here's hoping !

Who would you guys be willing to part in a trade? I feel like every night Kessel has a handful of opportunities and is just inches away from being the goal scorer we need. I like our young guns too much to sell the farm for someone. Unless the trade involves Schaefer and Fernandez, I'm willing to keep what we have, make the playoffs and hope the Baby B's can step it up in the future. A quick fix isn't necessarily a good thing.
