According to the Canadian Press two members of the Montreal Canadians were arrested early this morning in Tampa, FL around 3 a.m. Rookie defenseman Ryan O'Byrne and veteran winger Tom Kostopoulos were taken into custody outside a night club, Whiskey Park, in the Tampa area. Police said that O'Byrne, 23, stole a woman's purse while Kostopoulos resisted an officer. O'Byrne told the police it was his girlfriend's purse while the police said it belonged to another woman.
Kostopoulos, 29, was charged with resisting arrest without violence while O'Byrne was charged with grand theft. Both players were released on bail. The Candiens play the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.
