Kevin Paul Dupont of the Boston Globe reported that captain Zdeno Chara missed the on-ice practice today. Chara revealed that he tweaked his knee a bit in the third period of Saturday's game but, it was nothing to be concerned about. Head coach Claude Julien stated the following regarding Chara...
"...a maintenance day. He had a little bit of a charley horse [on Saturday], He logs a lot of ice time, so I think he can miss a couple of practices."
When Julien was asked if he will play Tuesday he responded with
"I hope so."
With Chara not taking part of the skating group, Bobby Allen, continuing to get stronger after a recent bout of back spasms, was given extra duty in the workout. Chara’s agent, Matt Keator, who spent time with Chara on Sunday, reported in an email that his prized client was experiencing ‘’general soreness.’’ Chara was not available in the dressing room after the practice.
McKeon's Take- Let's hope it is as advertised, not serious.
