Washington 10 - Bruins 2...

A very out of character and disturbing game. I am shocked I watched that shenanigans all the way through. It was like a car accident, ugly but, you can't look away. I really do not know where to begin. Goaltending was bad but, only because Timmy and Auldy had zero help in front of them. Just a weird game all around.

Was this an episode of Punked? I was waiting for the camera to zoom into the last row of seats to have Ashton and his crew laughing hysterically at the miserable look on all of our faces. Obviously that was not so and the Bruins really need to bounce back and play strong tomorrow night. Tonight's game showed that this team is built on a defense first mentality and when that breaks down well, you saw the result.

Congrats to one of the most exciting and dynamic players in the game in Alex Ovechkin on eclipsing the 50 goal mark. Here's hoping you get above 60 all while getting shut out this Saturday in the rematch.

There was no way to describe that game other than surreal. I played goal in a tournament once for a mining company and the team in front of me played that poorly BUT most of the guys showed up hung over and some were probably still drunk. Nobody moved their feet and nobody cared when the smaller forwards were getting pushed around, I honestly thought that tonight's game was footage of that game (complete with me getting burned more times than I cared to imagine). I'm suprised watching this didn't cause Julien to burst a blood vessel in his head, as this was a complete 180 from the previous batch of games. McKeon your a trooper for watching the whole game as I had to turn the channel, because it was tough watching the baby seal(not a bear that is for sure) get clubbed over and over and over again.

At least Montreal and Ottawa lost too !!! ( What a goal by Campbell !!!) So, a win tomorrow and we are rolling again. It's good it happened now and not later !!

Mercifully, I only got to listent to about the first 10-12 minutes (4-0) and had to attend a meeting.

Man.. when this team falls it falls hard. Let's hope they can pull it together tonight. And yes, I was wrong about Huet. It looks like he continues to haunt.

I think the Habs are like Belichek - they must know something and Huet brought the tapes with him to Washington! I think it was truly two factors, the first being maybe (just maybe) the Bruins were feeling a little too good thinking that they don't need to adapt or charge in every game. The second being that when you're on a roll - the league takes notice and the message must ahve easily been, beat the Bruins early and you've got the game. After 4-0, the Bruins would have just loved to walk off the ice. In every season, there has to be a few games when they don't show up. The only "good" news is that this team rebounds well, so as long as it is out of their system, they can play better hard (not hard to play worse). But then again Florida has always been a tough opponent. Who knows.
