The Weekend Ahead...
I am going to post this up now as I won't be around tonight or tomorrow for a pre/post-game post. I have an alumni hockey game tomorrow night (Sat.) and that always leads to a bar afterward. At any rate, the Bruins now have a legitimate, undebatable, must win game on Saturday versus the Montreal Canadiens IN Hab country of course. I can not think of a more difficult situation for a must win game at this point. I don't have much to say about this aside from I am sick of watching boring trap hockey AND watching the Bruins lose. It's one thing when they play trap and win but, when they can't capitalize on their scoring chances it's just plain boring. I feel like Glen Murray is the biggest anchor keeping the team from moving forward. He always seems off balance but, he does just enough to stay on his feet. It's like a mite player, who doesn't fall down.
The log on this fire is starting to die out? Anyone have any paper or some kindling to get this thing going again? It's going to be a tough summer if they collapse out of a playoff spot that they held for so long. Anyone up for a 70 game season next year?!

its just sad the only way the bruins are gonna get into the playoffs is if philly, buffalo, and washington keep losing also. i hate to say it but its true.
Well that plan isn't working either...Wash. and Philly both winners !! At this rate we might need to worry about the frickin Leafs !! I'm trying a new approach...I say Habs 7 B's 1 !?!?!
Just beat montreal once this year please? just once. That'd be nice.
Thomas is in net.....HE IS DUE !!
due to get lit up with soft goals through the 5-hole again?
Is Julien trying to miss the play-offs ?? Nice selection of shooters for the shoot-out !! 2 Fucking D-men....give me a break !! Go with the guys that have done it all year...STURM....KOBASEW....This team is absolutely self destructing...I see 2 more L's this week against Toronto !!
if there is one guy that needs to get a contract extension it's Glen Metropolit. He's been steady all season, wins face-offs, wins battles, and helps out a lot in the back-end.
The choice of going with Wideman was "smart" - try to make Carey Price laugh his ass off...but it didn't work. I think after the Habs put it on strong, the Bruins were able to shut them down for 2 periods and grab a point. I think that's a positive now. Now we have the Lefas for bak to back games. The Lefas are 4 points back. This is a playoff series. Bruins with one game in hand. Nothing short of 3/4 points would suffice. Plus we have Buffalo coming up too. So guess what - the Bruins are going to dictate if the Bruins make the playoffs. Wins will give them points and bury the Leafs and Sabres. Toronto is playing inspired hockey and the Sabres can still score. If Savard is out I wonder who will pick up the slack. Krejci? Kessel? This is going to be incredible hockey to finish off the season. Sorry to say to those with high blood pressure or ulcers - it will go down to the final game of the season.
