With my internet in place, and my first week of working at a new job behind me I am ready to weigh in on something in the Bruins world. In the past week or so, NESN announced that they were replacing the tall and goofy Rob Simpson with Naoko Funayama. I think Naoko is going to bring a lot to the table and I have had nothing but good thing to say about her since the day I met her back in 2006.
Prior to NESN, Naoko worked for WMUR in the Sports department. I met her while I was doing my Public Relations internship with the Monarchs for the 06-07 season. She was always very cordial and respectable to myself and the other two PR interns. On game nights, she always tried to make small talk with us off camera up until the moment she went on air at the arena. It may even be possible that I will be attending her goodbye party tomorrow night. It pays to know the right people.
As for me, the first week with the Monarchs went well. If anyone needs some season tickets, buy them though me!
